Emanuele Torti

A photographer, collector and compulsive reader, Emanuele Torti Corallini is a proponent of Romantic philosophy and science.

Resurrecting the idea that senses, knowledge and imagination were moving closer, he aims to build meaningful connections between nature and humans.

This 'Naturgemälde' is also a propulsion for endless speculations on the history of fine art: from twilight sceneries, to Baroque references in his portraits and Flemish old masters in still life.

Here, the artist reveals himself as a sensualist who takes his audience on a journey through the heavens and deep seas, roaming from fossils to the northern lights, and from magnetism to flora, fauna and the migration of the human race.
